IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PEOPLE WHO HAVE LBD:
Keep frustration and fears down. It is quite common for them to feel uncomfortable around too many people. Whether it’s over stimulation, too much noise, too many things to grasp at once, it is best to keep groups small with minimally focused, upbeat conversations.
Paranoia – Reach the FEELING. People pull away. Instead, understand the disease. Per a person who has LBD, Robert Bowles: “Emotional dynamics are the worst compared to memory loss.” “Can’t change things – accept them as they are. Let them fail and then climb.”
Many of the symptoms (in addition to cognition issues and Parkinsonisms): quickly listed: Fluctuations. Hallucinations. Sleeping/naps. Depression. Anxiety – Both worsen if they had them prior. Slowness of movement, rigidity, hallucinations, sleep disorder, apathy, mood changes , extreme sensitivity to meds, autonomic changes, blood pressure, bladder control. Dry mouth, dry eyes.
