HORSE THERAPY – A unique program at the stables at HorseAbility on the SUNY Old Westbury campus on Long Island.
The program lets the residents, who range in age from 84 to 93, to socialize, reminisce and take part in light physical activity.
There are many resources for finding a home-based companion service dog or a therapy dog that can visit groups or individuals at assisted living facilities. Some are listed below.
