The Lewy Body Dementia Resource Center held two successful events in July 2019 that we won’t soon forget. Robin’s Wish – Exclusive Private Film Screening & Reception Two-hundred (200) people attended the very first theater screening anywhere of the new Robin Williams documentary! Susan Schneider Williams and Director Tylor Norwood participated in a discussion and Q & A led by Norma Loeb. Many LBD families and friends were in attendance, as well as classmates of Robin Williams from Julliard. A cocktail reception after the film was enjoyed by all. You can view two separate videos here and photos below: Co-hosted with the State University of New York (SUNY) LBD Mini-Symposium & Roundtable for Medical Professionals, Screening of Robin’s Wish & Reception SUNY Headquarters - Midtown Manhattan – Thursday, July 18, 2019 Medical professionals from the New York area and across the SUNY system attended the LBD symposium and roundtable which was hosted by our founder/executive director, Norma Loeb, and by Dr. Mantosh Dewan, interim president of SUNY Upstate Medical University. Dr. Vicki Shanker, neurologist and movement disorder specialist at Beth Israel Mount Sinai Medical Center and a member of our board, spoke to the group about the specifics of LBD. SUNY Chancellor Kristina Johnson, PhD welcomed everyone to the reception and screening. You can also read this excellent SUNY blog which explains the conference well: If you would like more details on what was discussed during the symposium and roundtable, please contact Norma Loeb at [email protected].
